As the season draws to a close and with hopes of the Oilers’ playoffs quickly running out, I’m surprised we haven’t seen anyone else left out of the lineup because of persistent injuries. This is a good thing in my view and I hope everyone can finish the season strongly.
Let’s take a look at the current trauma the Oilers are going through.
Jesse Puljujarvi is already back in Edmonton walking and meeting fans!

Jujhar Khaira has not been like that since he was activated from the Injury Reserve earlier this month. He had suffered a heel injury that kept him out of action for some time, and it was rumored to be a stress fracture. I think he’s still getting that injury, because he’s been in and out of the squad since coming back.
Ken Hitchcock ruled Jujhar every day, which made sense. Khaira’s last game was played today a week in Las Vegas. Since then, he has missed a few training sessions and hasn’t played any games in the past week. With the season essentially over for the Oilers, is it best to leave Jujhar for the rest of the season to reduce the risk of further injury? Of course, I don’t know all the details of what’s bothering him, but I’m curious what’s going on behind closed doors in relation to his situation.
It seems jesse’s rehab process is going well and his spirits seem more uplifting than ever. There are rumors that Puljujarvi used crutches for several weeks after the surgery, but Twitter is showing me that he has been out and is about to hang out with fans again. I hope that this surgery will bring great things to Jesse’s.
